Guidelines for Authors
We promote combined publications of a brief paper and elaborated, high-quality media such as visualizations, simulations and tutorials, which may be browser-ready, but can also be designed for more specific application contexts. Contributions may also refer to empirical, modelling or theoretical studies that include aspects of new media as well as reviews and viewpoints.
Processing information
Submissions will be processed electronically in the reviewing as well as in the publication phase. For Brains, Minds & Media, PLONE is used for publication. Articles are uploaded to the system as RTF files. The RTF version of your article will automatically be transformed via XML to HTML as the browser ready format. Printable versions of the article are provided as PDF file. For an easy transformation into the publication system, customized RTF templates for your articles are available (see below).
Manuscript preparation
Authors are requested to use out RTF template (recommended) or, alternatively, our LATEX template, both provided below. The editors will check every submitted paper before entering it into the review process.
The use of templates is very helpful to us as well as to the authors, since it would speed up the overall publication process.
Additionally, we recommend the provided information on MATERIALS, TOOLS, RESEARCH and NEWS.
